Kenneth W. Anderson, B.S., R.Ph. Associate Ken Anderson, a pharmacy benefit consultant, has assisted employers, health plans, and others manage and improve the cost-effectiveness of their pharmacy benefit programs. He has assisted many health benefit plan sponsors, with as few as 75 covered lives to as large as 500,000, develop and implement drug utilization review, formulary management, pharmacy network management and other techniques to control pharmacy benefit costs while improving overall program performance. Prior to establishing his pharmacy benefit consulting practice in 1991, Mr. Anderson served as vice president and in other senior positions at a large regional drug store chain. In these various positions, he was responsible for negotiating and implementing third party prescription claims administrative services, government relations, MIS program development, network management, cost performance, and overall contract requirements of the prescription drug benefit offered by the drug store chain to their managed care clients. He has also served as President of the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. |
