Peggy Hess, MHA Manager, Senior Consultant With over ten years of healthcare management consulting experience, Ms. Hess applies wide ranging experience in strategic planning, managed care assessment, and health policy analysis to a variety of consulting activities. In addition, Ms. Hess provides research and analytical support for litigation support activities in areas such as managed care practices, financial analysis, and provider reimbursement. Prior to joining Dyckman & Associates, Ms. Hess worked as a consultant for CHPS Consulting and McManis Associates. Ms. Hess has worked with Dr. Dyckman in the evaluation and design of provider payment systems. Other recent projects include preparation of a report on the cost-effectiveness of organ transplants and an aseessment of the healthcare cost impact of antitrust exemptions for provider joint bargaining. Ms. Hess has assisted several healthcare systems with strategy engagements, including the development or update of strategic plans, assessment of physician/hospital relations, evaluation of affiliation options, facilitation of merger and collaboration discussions, assessment of managed care strategies, and the design of senior care strategies. During these projects, Ms. Hess conducted one-to-one and group interviews with physicians, board members, and management team members and analyzed client data. Ms. Hess holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Public Health and a B.S. from Duke University.
